Small Steps (Part I)
Quote: Even small steps in the wrong direction will eventually lead you to the wrong place.
Have you ever known someone who has gotten lost on a trip and refuse to admit that they took a wrong turn? If they had only been willing to listen to that voice that told them to turn around, when they initially made the first wrong move, they would not have gotten so off track and lost. Making a minor correction early on could have easily gotten them right back on track by allowing them the ability to resort again to the roadmap which was leading them to the right place.
Pride
is usually the root spirit that causes one continue in the wrong path which
causes failure to admit when one has made a wrong step or series of steps. We can
refer to steps as wrong decisions, wrong moves, or wrong choices. This spirit
called pride will keep one from making necessary and/or minor adjustments that would
allow them to get back onto the road that leads to their right or
destined place.
You see a small step or a few small steps in the wrong direction can be easily remedied or rectified.
We all have made some wrong decisions, moves or choices sometime in our life. It's not the exception that causes us to end up in the wrong place, but it's when it becomes the rule rather than an exception. It is the perpetual small steps, the lands one in the wrong place.
What happens in this scenario: getting off course without correction will cause one to resort to asking for directions and/or advice along the way hoping that after placing confidence in that advice, they will somehow at least get back on the main road again.
A roadmap is a plan that has been carefully designed and laid out. The creator of map has tested and proven, that if you follow it, you will definitely get to your destination. The fault was not in the map, but in the decision to deviate from the plan.
